Update on the “We provide a future” project in the Ivory Coast: the first children begin to attend kindergarten

Less than a year after the “We provide a future” educational project kicked off, we are happy to provide an update on the progress of the construction of the Beoumi kindergarten in the Ivory Coast.

Having completed renovation of a large portion of the building, in October 2022 around 20 boys and girls were been able to resume their classes in an appropriate and dignified facility. A second classroom will soon be set up to accommodate 20 more children, while the outside area will be fitted with a playground, a water well, toilets and a kitchen-cum-canteen.

Under the project, a third room will also be set up to allow older children to attend primary school and benefit from the assistance of specialised staff and teaching materials.

We wish to thank the CEY (Centre Educatif Yablassou) Foundation, which is working on this project in cooperation with the Missionary Office of the Diocese of Belluno-Feltre.

The right to education of boys and girls in the countries of the so-called Third World is crucial to ensuring a better future for them.
